About BluePearl Pet Hospital Sarasota.
Our BluePearl animal hospital has three surgical suites and multiple exam rooms. It’s fully equipped for ultrasound, x-rays, endoscopy, oxygen therapy, cataract surgery and more. We are excited to be in the process of expanding our vet hospital, so we can better serve you.

Blood donor benefits.
- Free annual blood screening and physical exam
- Free blood products for life of pet (if needed)
- Donor tag
- Bandana after each donation
- Credit on account with BluePearl Pet Hospital for each donation
- *This credit can be transferred to other pets, transferred to other clients/rescue groups as well.
Eligibility requirements for blood donors – cats.
- 1-8 years of age
- Never bred (spayed or neutered)
- Weighs over 10 pounds
- Healthy (no diseases, no medications other than heartworm/flea/tick preventative)
- Friendly, not aggressive
- Up-to-date on vaccinations
- INDOOR only
- Test negative for infectious diseases
- Normal bloodwork
- Blood typed
- No prior transfusions
- Pets can donate every 6-8 weeks
Eligibility requirements for blood donors – dogs.
- 1-8 years of age
- Never bred (spayed or neutered)
- Weighs over 50 pounds
- Healthy (no diseases, no medications other than heartworm/flea/tick preventative, vitamins or joint supplements)
- Friendly, no aggression
- Up-to-date on vaccinations (rabies, distemper)
- Test negative for infectious diseases
- Normal bloodwork
- No prior transfusions
- Pet can donate every 2 months (6 times/year) for a minimum of 2 years
