At BluePearl Specialty and Emergency Pet Hospital, the health, safety, and well-being of our patients, staff and the community continues to be our number-one priority amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now that we all are well aware of the paramount need to prevent the virus from spreading to more people, we all have a personal responsibility to do our part. And as an essential business that plays a critical role in supporting public health through veterinary care, we are taking numerous steps at BluePearl to continue offering high-quality, compassionate care to pets in need as long as we can maintain a safe and healthy environment for our staff and everyone else who comes through our doors.
The situation is evolving daily, and our actions are adapting as we know more about how to react to the impacts of COVID-19. As we face this challenge together, we want to give you visibility to the steps we’re taking at BluePearl:
Several steps have been taken to protect our hospital Associates who are on the front lines providing essential services to pets in need during this unprecedented time, including but not limited to:
In addition to the steps we’re taking to protect our people, we’re also committed to delivering high-quality care for your pet. But we need your help!
We’re requiring all clients to utilize a new COVID-19 Drop-Off Policy for appointments and emergency care, encouraging completion of intake information via phone (or email as appropriate) prior to arrival, and discussing treatment plans and cost estimates over the phone. Please see the web page of the hospital you are visiting for specific details on patient intake.
We’re here for you, the pets you love, and the communities we live in and serve. And we appreciate your patience with us as we navigate this crisis in the best way we know how, with the best interests of people and pets at the forefront.
And sincere thanks to those of you who’ve shared words of encouragement and stories of appreciation with our staff and each other along the way – your kindness goes further than you may realize among the veterinary teams working hard to care for you and your pets during this trying time.
Thank you for being part of the BluePearl family.
At BluePearl Specialty & Emergency Pet Hospital, the health, safety, and wellbeing of our patients, staff, and the community is our number one priority. As the number of COVID-19 (coronavirus) cases continues to grow, many communities and businesses have adopted or are considering stronger measures to curb the virus’s spread. We, too, have adopted several strict measures to ensure the safety of our staff, clients, and the communities in which we serve.
As one of the country’s leading specialty and emergency veterinary medicine providers, we understand the important role our hospital’s play and are committed to keeping our doors open during this tumultuous time. Our goal to provide advanced, seamless care for clients and the referral community remains unchanged.
In an effort to maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, pets, and our hospital teams, we are implementing the following procedures at all Pet Hospitals (effective March 15, 2020).
Anyone displaying symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, or shortness of breath) or who has traveled internationally or to an area in the U.S. with high incidence of COVID-19 in the last 14 days is advised to call ahead and/or from the car to discuss the situation. Each of our hospitals have plans in place to help ensure your pet receives the care it needs. This can include having a staff member in personal protective equipment meet you at your car to bring the pet into the hospital.
We thank you for your understanding and patience as we take these prudent precautions and will continue to keep you informed as information becomes available.
