Dr. Kimberly Helmbold comes to BluePearl after having worked in a number of jobs in veterinary medicine ranging from veterinary technician to her recent position as the Director of Critical Care at a large and busy specialty practice in New York City. She is captivated by the problem solving and think-on-your feet approach required in the field of critical care.
A fan of respiratory diseases and mechanical ventilation, Dr. Helmbold has ventilated over 60 patients, both canine and feline. She is passionate about transfusion medicine, both collecting and administering blood products. Other clinical interests include blood clotting and coagulation disorders, placing central and intravenous lines, and anesthesia, both monitoring and creating drug protocols.
