Cutting-Edge Surgery For a Dog That Hops

The NBC-affiliate in Georgia, 11 Alive, recently ran a story on Bunny, a golden retriever puppy who had a pioneering surgery at one of our Georgia hospitals.¬† The surgery involved taking a portion of a bone in the puppy’s leg and fastening it onto its spine in order to correct a spinal defect that, left alone, would have paralyzed the puppy from the waist down.

Kudos to Dr. Alan Cross, who, along with the entire team  (Dr. Parkes, Dr. Johnson, surgery support and ICU team) created a most successful outcome. To view the broadcast, click here.
