Forrest Cummings, DVM, DACVIM-SAIM
Specialist, Board Certified in Small Animal Internal Medicine
On The Job
Dr. Forrest Cummings was always interested in how things worked, especially how certain diseases affected normal physiology. Pairing that with his interest in animals, veterinary medicine was a natural career choice. Internal medicine allows him to see a variety of cases and to see the same disease affect animals differently. He likes the “detective work” required to determine a diagnosis and the best treatment option. Dr. Cummings’ clinical interests include pancreatic, renal and upper respiratory disease and gastroenterology. He has found success in incorporating immunotherapy and hyperbaric oxygen therapy to help in the long-term management of these cases.
