SEATTLE—ACCES announced today that it has changed its name to BluePearl Veterinary Partners. This name change reflects ACCES’ next step in strengthening its partnership with parent company BluePearl Veterinary Partners, a national leader in specialty and emergency medicine for pets.
“For more than 10 years, ACCES has been the region’s leader in veterinary specialty and emergency care,” said Medical Director Beth Davidow, DVM, DACVECC. “Now as BluePearl Veterinary Partners, our team has increased access to the resources and tools that will help us continue our mission of expanding and improving the quality of veterinary care across the Northwest.”
With BluePearl’s support, the Seattle hospital has added additional oncology, surgery and radiology specialists, while the Renton hospital has added a dialysis unit, the only one of its kind in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
When ACCES opened its doors in 2003, it was the first 24-hour emergency and critical care veterinary hospital in Seattle. Now in 2015, ACCES has grown to include two hospitals with a team of more than 140 veterinary and client service professionals who treat approximately 11,000 patients a year. As a BluePearl Veterinary Partners Hospital, the Seattle and Renton teams are also now able to collaborate with a network of nearly 50 emergency and specialty hospitals throughout the country including regional hospitals in Tacoma and Kirkland.
Continued Davidow, “We are the same highly-skilled team who has provided remarkable care to more than 70,000 pets since we opened our doors in 2003. We believe that by being a part of this respected network of veterinary specialists, we will continue to improve our ability to meet the ever-evolving healthcare needs of the region.”
