CLEARWATER, Fla. – BluePearl Veterinary Partners specialty and emergency veterinary hospital in Clearwater began operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, on Monday.
The hospital is open to receive pets experiencing after-hours emergencies if their families’ veterinarians are not available.
“We’re excited to expand our services and fortunate for the continued support from both the veterinary and the pet owner communities throughout the Tampa Bay area,” said Dr. Neil Shaw, co-founder and chief medical officer of BluePearl Veterinary Partners. “We’re proud to now offer after-hour emergency care for pets on both sides of the bay.”
The Clearwater location offers specialty services in acupuncture, cardiology, critical care, dermatology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, oncology, ophthalmology, radiology, rehabilitation and surgery. Specialty appointments are made through referrals from family veterinarians.
The Clearwater veterinary hospital gained worldwide attention in May when Dr. Brian Luria, a board-certified specialist in internal medicine, and Dr. Mike Reems, a board-certified surgeon, successfully diagnosed and removed a giant hairball from inside a tiger’s stomach.
