The hospital, located at 56 Roland St., Suite 107, offers 24/7 emergency and critical care services, as well as anesthesiology, internal medicine and surgery, including minimally invasive surgery.
At BluePearl-Charlestown, patients will have access to advanced technology, including a 64-slice Toshiba CT machine, digital X-rays, ultrasound and endoscopy.
“We recognize that pets are part of our families, and we believe they should have access to top-quality health care,” said Dr. Kristina DePaula, a BluePearl medical director and board-certified critical care specialist. “Our new hospital gives us the opportunity to expand our services and provide care for even more pets in the greater Boston community when they need it most.”
The Charlestown hospital is the second BluePearl hospital in the Boston area. The first is in Waltham, 180 Bear Hill Road. The new Charlestown location is just three minutes from Rt. 93 (Exit 28) and a short walk from the Orange Line.
Kelly Parkinson, Hospital Administrator, said what truly makes the hospital special is the people who work there. Everyone, from the friendly people behind the front desk to the technicians and veterinarians, is dedicated to providing the best possible care for pets.
“We’re all very proud to be a part of the Boston community,” Parkinson said. “I think visitors to our new hospital will be impressed by the level of compassion exhibited by all of our skilled care providers.”
