Louisville Animal Hospital Joins BluePearl
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Louisville Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Services merged with BluePearl Veterinary Partners Friday. The hospital will continue to operate as a 24-hour emergency facility and offer specialty service appointments by referral from family veterinarians.
LVSES was established in and has been offering 24-hour emergency and specialty veterinary care since 1998. BluePearl has managed LVSES since 2010 at the request of LVSES’ owners Dr. Thomas Day and Dr. Scott Rizzo, who sought out the relationship because of BluePearl’s experience in managing specialty and emergency hospitals.
“We’re excited to add this location to the BluePearl family of hospitals,” said Dr. Neil Shaw, chief medical officer of BluePearl. “We will continue to offer the same great care and services our clients have relied on for years.”
BluePearl is a national leader in emergency and specialty medicine for companion animals.
BluePearl’s Louisville hospital has state-of-the-art equipment and offers emergency care plus appointments for specialty treatment such as acupuncture, cardiology, critical care, internal medicine, oncology, ophthalmology and surgery.
The newest BluePearl location will remain at 13160 Magisterial Drive in Louisville. BluePearl also operates a specialty hospital in Lexington KY.
