Six-Foot Snake Recovering After Having Surgery to Remove Towel He Ate

TAMPA, Fla. – A 6-foot-long boa constrictor is recovering after doctors from BluePearl Veterinary Partners specialty and emergency hospital for pets in Tampa, one of nine nationally recognized veterinary trauma centers in the U.S., performed surgery to remove a towel the pet snake ingested.

The male snake, named Killer, apparently ingested the towel inadvertently. Doctors from BluePearl successfully removed the towel and Killer is expected to make a full recovery.
