On The Job
Dr. Imogen Slome considers herself an animal lover and feels that being a veterinarian is her dream job because she is able to help animals on a daily basis and promote the health and welfare of her patient. She was chosen for select internships with International Veterinary Students’ Association in Thailand and the California Wildlife Center in Calabasas where she was able to work with a number of species to include birds, reptiles, marine and terrestrial mammals. Prior to her internships, she worked as a lab technician at the Bronx Zoo where she was able to work with primates, large cats and amphibians. Dr. Slome’s particular clinical interest is chronic renal disease.
