Dr. Andrea Eriksson became a veterinarian because she was searching for a profession that would help people. After taking her cat to a veterinary clinic for a wellness exam, she realized veterinary medicine would also allow her to serve and heal animals. Dr. Eriksson became a cardiologist because she finds the medical management of cardiac disease rewarding due to the relationships she develops with both the pet and the owner with the goal of improving the quality of life. She has a particular interest in refractory congestive heart failure, diagnostic imaging with echocardiography and interventional cardiology.
