Dr. Alicia Niedzwecki worked as a veterinary assistant during her undergraduate years, and during that time one veterinarian made such an impact on her that she decided to pursue veterinary school. She finds practicing high-quality, fast-paced emergency medicine particularly motivating and is especially gratified when she sees a critically ill animal survive because of her team’s treatment and care. Dr. Niedzwecki’s clinical interests include treating snakebites, acute kidney injury, Addison’s disease, immune-mediated diseases, coagulopathies and congestive heart failure. Procedures she enjoys include temporary tracheostomies, GI endoscopies and pericardiocenteses.
