Dr. Melody Whitney grew up with a strong connection to animals and an appreciation for the unconditional love and non-judgmental support that they provide us. After completing a one-year small animal medicine and surgery internship with us, she is pursuing advanced training in surgery. This will enable her to further develop her ability to diagnose and treat surgery cases.

Dr. Whitney has volunteered her veterinary services on Native American reservations, with the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society and with Pets for Life. When she has free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, horseback riding, quilting and teaching her dogs and cats new tricks. She has a foxhound named Brock and two domestic long hair cats, Mikey and Grr, who knows how to touch, sit, jump, tunnel, kennel and turn off the lights.
