Does BluePearl treat exotic pets? If so, what types?
The emergency service at BluePearl Veterinary Partners is able to treat exotic pets, such as small mammals, birds and reptiles. We have a specially designed incubator to meet the temperature and humidity needs of some of these animals. We work closely with several exotic specialists and are able to stabilize your exotic pet in the event of an emergency.
How do I arrange for delivery of blood products for my hospital from the ACCES Blood Bank?
Blood product can be shipped to your hospital via Fedex overnight. Please contact the ACCES Blood Bank at 206.364.1660 or email@example.com to make arrangements for product purchase and shipping. (Shipping prices vary depending on your location.)
What soft tissue surgery procedures are commonly performed by the BluePearl surgical team?
The BluePearl surgical team commonly performs the following procedures: abdominal exploration including gastrointestinal and urologic surgery, oncologic surgery and mass removal, trauma and reconstruction, correction of congenital abnormalities, thoracic and airway surgery and minimally invasive surgery.

What orthopedic procedures are available to be performed by the BluePearl surgical team?
Our surgery department is equipped to handle a wide variety of orthopedic procedures for both emergent and chronic problems. Commonly performed orthopedic procedures include fracture repair, ligament stabilization, trauma reconstruction, medial patellar luxation and cranial cruciate ligament stabilization (including TPLO).
Does BluePearl have a Holter system available through its cardiology services department?
Are laparoscopic procedures available through your surgical services?
Our board-certified suregons perform laparoscopic and thoracoscopic procedures including laparoscopic liver biopsies, gastropexies, ovariectomies, and pericardial windows.
How do I schedule a CT for my patient?

What diagnostic imaging services are available through BluePearl?
BluePearl Veterinary Partners has digital radiology and ultrasound available at both BluePearl Seattle and BluePearl Renton. A four-slice helical CT is available at ACCES Seattle.
What is the best method for referring a patient to a BluePearl specialist?
Please feel free to call 206.364.1660 to speak with any of our specialists if you would like to discuss a case prior to transfer. We are always happy to talk with you. If you know which specialist or department you would like your patient to see, you can have the client call us directly to set up the appointment. We will then fax you a referral form with a request for records and any previous imaging results that we will need prior to the appointment.
If I send a patient to BluePearl for overnight care, will the patient be transferred back to my practice in the morning?
At the time of transfer, the receiving doctor will discuss whether you would like the patient to remain at BluePearl if it continues to need hospitalization the next day or to plan to return to your facility. We work hard to develop a plan that works best for you and your clients.
Will I receive regular updates on my patient while it is receiving care at BluePearl?
Once your patient is in our care, the BluePearl medical team will continue to communicate with you regularly and share diagnostic results to ensure you are kept apprise of your patient’s progress. You will receive a fax or phone call within 24 hours of admission to our hospital, fax updates at least every 48 hours, and a full summary of the visit at the end of hospitalization. Our doctors are always willing to answer any question you have at any time so please call.
How do my clients reach you after hours?
BluePearl is fully staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week at both our Seattle and Renton hospitals. Your clients are welcome to give us a call at 206.364.1660 or stop by either location.
Does BluePearl offer accredited continuing education programs for veterinarians and technicians?
BluePearl Veterinary Partners hosts continuing education seminars throughout the year presented by our specialty departments, veterinarians and technicians. Be sure to check back for updated course offerings.

Will I be able to view the internal medicine images from my patient’s exam?
Yes, we have DVR capabilities available.
Do you have isolation capabilities onsite?
How do I refer a patient for emergency care or an extended ICU stay?
Please call our hospital at any time to refer a patient for emergency or ICU care. In order to best understand the needs of your patient, one of our staff emergency doctors or critical care specialists will ask to speak to the primary veterinarian about the case and discuss the transfer. We may ask you to fax relevant records ahead of time or to send copies of the records along with any radiographs with the patient.
