Dr. Amanda Cathey is passionate about helping people keep their pets healthy and providing education on veterinary medicine. After working as both a veterinary and surgical assistant, she’s developed interests in critical cases, especially wound and laceration care, and toxicities.

Dr. Cathey has volunteered at spay and neuter clinics and with a veterinary mission to Haiti. Away from veterinary medicine, she enjoys yoga, working out, outdoor activities and reading. She has three pets: Kadee, the border collie, is sweet, pretty and terrified of loud noises and storms; Moose, the orange fluffy cat, is lazy and doesn’t care about anything but food; and Marley, the black domestic short hair cat, is loving talkative and plays fetch.
