Jessica Weeks, DVM
On The Job
At seven years old, Dr. Jessica Weeks wanted to be a marine biologist and veterinarian. After completing her undergraduate degree, she worked as a dolphin trainer at the Dolphin Research Center in Marathon FL. Four years later, she returned to school to pursue the other half of her childhood dream to become a veterinarian. During her internship, she worked with all types of animals, including rhinos and elephants often on an emergency basis. It was during that time that she fell in love with emergency medicine. Her special interests include ocular disease, dystocia, diabetic ketoacidosis, and gastrointestinal foreign bodies.
