Dr. Megan Minchin comes to the Tampa Bay area after working for a number of years as an emergency clinician at a large specialty and emergency hospital in Pennsylvania. With a childhood that included all types of pets – cats, dogs, horses, rabbits, hamster, snakes and ferrets – there was never a doubt in her mind that she would become a veterinarian, and her first experience in the emergency room got her hooked on emergency medicine. Her particular clinical interests include feline urethral obstructions, renal failure, trauma and shock.

A diehard sports fan, Dr. Minchin’s favorite teams are the New York Mets and Tampa Bay Lightning. Personal fitness is important to her, and she loves biking and hiking. In her down time, she enjoys playing cards, reading biographies and watching World War II movies. Dr. Minchin has a Siamese cat mix named Caleb who is pure trouble.
