According to her parents, Dr. Sarah Mueller decided to become a veterinarian by the time she was 10 years old. She was lucky enough to have a supportive family and fantastic science teachers who continued to encourage the idea. Dr. Mueller’s particular interests include diabetic ketoacidosis, crotalid snake bites, immune-mediated hemolytic anemia and drowning.

Dr. Mueller adopted her mixed-breed dog, Simba, when she was on the island of St. Kitts during veterinary school; Simba loves to cuddle and go on long walks. Luna is Dr. Mueller’s adopted Chihuahua/dachshund mix who she describes as energetic and loving. Favorite pastimes for Dr. Mueller include yoga and running.
