Sloane Everett, DVM
On The Job
Dr. Sloane Everett’s interest in veterinary medicine began in high school when her family veterinarian offered her the opportunity to shadow. She enjoyed the variety of cases and diversity of species that veterinarians treat. During her undergraduate studies, she joined a research lab and realized she wanted to combine clinical medicine with research. After completing her undergraduate degree, she worked with endangered exotic species in conservation efforts and then worked in the human medical field before deciding veterinary medicine was the correct path for her. In veterinary school, Dr. Everett was actively involved in several research projects and school clubs that fostered her interest in cardiology and cardiovascular research.
