Two More Wonderful Months

My Baby Beebes was the love of my life. He was a black Scottish terrier. The sweetest dog ever. Then one day, I noticed he was breathing really hard — and often. I called my regular vet, and she took X-rays, etc. By this time, it was 7 p.m. on a Friday night. She said she did not have the equipment to do any more tests, so she advised me to take him to BluePearl in Overland Park. Off we went. When I walked in the door, there was someone waiting for me, and they took Baby Beebes right into the exam room. I felt like I was in a human hospital. After what seemed like forever, the doctor came out and told me they put him on oxygen, but he would have to stay. He was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension. The doctor did tell me that his prognosis was not good, but they would do everything they could for him, if that is what I wanted. So of course I said yes, whatever he needs. They told me what they would be doing, and the cardiologist would be in on Monday.

Baby Beebes was at BluePearl for 7 days. Then, he came home on medicine, and he lived until the day after Christmas. The doctor at BluePearl gave me two wonderful months that I wouldn’t have had without them. I cannot say enough about the doctors and staff at BluePearl. They are the best. Very caring and didn’t care how many times, day or night, that I called. Thank you so much for all you did.
