We Chose Peace for Grove

My dog Grove was diagnosed with severe diabetes. Having shown no symptoms for a while, I had no clue he was suffering for so long. After a couple of nights spent at his regular vet and seeming fully recovered, we were completely devastated when he just collapsed in our living room.

We contacted his vet and were referred to your hospital. The staff was incredibly helpful, from the receptionist to the nurse to the doctor who gave us the unfortunate diagnosis. Faced with either keeping him alive and suffering or letting him go and having peace, we chose the latter.

Your staff was incredibly kind, supportive, attentive and very helpful with us through this very, very tough decision. We were given a room to spend some extra time with him. We held our pup, told him we loved him and his look told us he knew what was about to happen and that it was OK. It was his time.

We were then moved to another room, where a previous family had said goodbye to their beloved pet. Holding him while the doctor applied the injections, we told him we loved him and that we would one day see him again. It’s the first time I’ve had to have one my “children” euthanized and throughout this very tough experience, the staff at BluePearl were wonderful.

Thank you all for your kind words, looks and care of my baby boy.
