Dr. DePaula developed a passion for emergency and critical care medicine during an internship at BluePearl in New York City. She worked as an emergency doctor at a specialty hospital in Rhode Island for two years before heading back to Tufts where she completed a three-year residency in emergency and critical care medicine. After her residency, she rejoined the BluePearl team with the critical care service in Waltham. Her special interests include trauma, coagulation disorders and sepsis.
