Elise Jemmott, DVM
Senior Clinician, Emergency Medicine
On The Job
Dr. Elise Jemmott remembers back to a young age when her young kitten died. After finding her, asking her mom who took care of sick pets, and learning about veterinarians, she knew that was the career for her. When asked what she finds exciting about emergency medicine, her response is “Everything!” She loves being able to work with all the specialty services and considers the arrival of a critical patient at 3:00am an adrenaline rush. Experienced in all aspects of emergency medicine, she is most drawn to cases of parvovirus puppies, head trauma, anaphylaxis and immune-mediated hemolytic anemia.
Internship, Small Animal Medicine & Surgery, North Houston Veterinary Specialists, Spring TX
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Texas A&M University, College Station
Bachelor of Science, Animal Science, Texas A&M University, College Station
Just as Dr. Jemmott has always known she wanted to be a veterinarian, she also knew she was really a Texan, despite growing up in Southern California. After completing all of her college and veterinary education in Texas, she still lives and breathes Aggie sports, especially football. An outdoor enthusiast, she also enjoys camping, fishing and horseback riding. Hallie Berry, her mixed breed dog, has been with her since her undergraduate years. Rio, her domestic medium hair cat, has a strong personality, meaning she usually gets her way.
