Dr. Laura Barbur grew up surrounded by farm animals in rural Kansas, which is where her passion for the well-being of animals began. During her veterinary education at Kansas State University, she assisted with research in various areas, such as canine and feline kidney disease and canine thoracic surgery. It wasn’t long into veterinary school that she realized her biggest passion was small animal surgery.
After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Barbur had the pleasure of living in and serving the communities of Atlanta and Washington D.C. Throughout her career as a small animal surgeon, Dr. Barbur has continued to be involved in various research projects while also having the honor of training several surgical interns.
Dr. Barbur’s special interests include:
When she is not at work, Dr. Barbur enjoys spending time with her beagle, Pixel, and her Ragdoll cat, Beaker. She also enjoys cooking, hiking, exploring museums and traveling.
Dr. Ellyn Gouldin’s clinical interests include orthopedic and abdominal surgery.
Originally from Bucks County, Dr. Gouldin is happy to be spending time in Philadelphia. She and her husband share two children, three cats and a mixed-breed dog named Judy.
Dr. Victoria Iarrobino is an intern in our surgery service. She enjoys all aspects of surgery, including fractures, wound care and emergency cases.
In her free time, Dr. Iarrobino enjoys spending time outdoors, with her dog and cat and with her family. She is passionate about traveling the world and wildlife conservation medicine.
We want you to be prepared for your pet’s visit to the surgeon, so you have one less thing to worry about. Our entire BluePearl team will be with you every step of the way.
