Uncertain Times

With the spread of the coronavirus, there has been much uncertainty, and we find ourselves in a very different world from the one we entered in January 2020. Some areas have been impacted more than others, but we have all been affected. During this unprecedented pandemic, we as veterinary professionals have had to quickly adjust protocols to maintain social distancing and ensure the safety of our staff and clients.

BluePearl was fortunate in that we were able to remain open during the crisis, providing emergency treatment, after-hours care, and specialty medicine to those in need. Pet care is an essential service, and we were proud to be available for your patients, as an extension of your practice and your partner in care. We will continue to follow state and local regulations to ensure a safe and healthy environment.

What will a post COVID-19 world look like?

As we enter the “new normal,” what will a post COVID-19 world look like? While these have certainly been challenging times, there are some signs of hope. Pet adoption is up, and there is an increased demand for veterinary services as people care for their animal companions. Technology that we adopted for patient safety, like telemedicine and video conferencing for consults and diagnosis, will undoubtedly play a continued role as we move forward.

We are also seeing changes to the way we conduct business. For the safety of clients and staff, we have instituted a secure online payment processing system to take paperless payments with minimal contact. Our BluePearl portal is also available at your convenience to access patient records online and safely and easily refer patients.

While our world may not be the same, our commitment to providing remarkable pet care, in collaboration with you, the referring veterinary community, will never change.

Thank you again for your valued partnership. Stay safe and stay well.
