Our commitment is not just to delivering highly advanced surgical care; it’s to enhance the well-being of your pet and be with you every step of the way.
If your pet has a condition or injury that requires advanced care and procedures, you’ll have an entire surgery team helping to improve your pet’s quality of life so you can get back to what matters most – spending precious moments together.
Your pet will receive unparalleled medical care during their time at the hospital (and they’ll be spoiled with love and attention, too).
Your pet can’t tell us what’s wrong, so we use sophisticated diagnostics and imaging tools to uncover the source of the problem.
Just as no two patients are the same, neither are their treatment plans. Our surgery team has experience with a range of advanced procedures and minimally invasive options to get your pet on the path to wellness, including:
Experience makes all the difference.
Our surgery team is made up of veterinarians, vet technicians and assistants, and support staff with rigorous training and experience in specialty medicine. The team works hand in hand to provide the comprehensive, compassionate care your pet needs and deserves. Because we’re a multidisciplinary hospital, the team can consult the expertise of other specialty departments, too.
Dr. Au practiced at the Murdoch University Veterinary Hospital in Western Australia before joining BluePearl.
Dr. Au enjoys outdoor activities, including fly fishing and kayaking.
Dr. Sarah Daniel’s particular interests are soft tissue procedures, especially wound management. She has a published journal article on the safety and efficacy of laparoscopic liver biopsies.
Dr. Daniel enjoys time with her husband, two daughters, and dogs Hope and Cooper.
Dr. Rebecca Laube has been part of the BluePearl family since 2014, when she began her rotating internship at our Sandy Springs, Ga., hospital. While in residency at our Southfield, Mich., hospital, she published peer-reviewed journal articles on TPLOs. After her residency, her love for the Tennessee weather and people brought her back to Franklin.
A core value of her practice is education – many of her family members are teachers. Dr. Laube helps support the growth of newly graduated veterinarians by running rotating internship and externship programs. She continues to expand her own skills through cutting-edge procedures such as I-Loc (interlocking nail), a technique adapted from human medicine to repair fractures in pets, and SUBS (subcutaneous ureteral bypass system), a device that reroutes urine from the kidneys to the bladder and is most commonly used to treat feline kidney stones. Dr. Laube is one of few surgeons in Tennessee who perform the SUBS procedure.
Her clinical interests include:
Outside of work, Dr. Laube stays busy visiting family in Alabama and Georgia, working in her garden and cheering on the SEC. She also enjoys spending time with her tennis ball–obsessed Labrador Retriever, Brinna, who she helped deliver via cesarean section during her residency. Dr. Laube knows how important our pets are to us and would be honored to care for yours!
We want you to be prepared for your pet’s visit to the surgeon, so you have one less thing to worry about. Our entire BluePearl team will be with you every step of the way.
