Dr. Julie Clark is passionate about emergency medicine and enjoys that it affords her the ability to utilize many different procedures and treatments.

In her spare time, Dr. Clark enjoys spending time with her family, camping and swimming.

Dr. Ashley Ellwood has a special interest in internal medicine and preventative care.

In her free time, Dr. Ellwood enjoys doing anything active and outdoors. Her favorite activities are rock climbing, CrossFit and hiking. She has three pets at home who love to cuddle: Sadie, a lab mix whom she rescued during vet school, and two cats, Lucy and Noel.

Dr. Joseph O’Hara’s special interests include emergency medicine, internal medicine and surgery.

During his spare time, Dr. O’Hara enjoys spending time with his dog, Mossy Oak, as well as staying active with camping, volleyball, water polo and competing in Ironman Triathlons.

Dr. Andrew Pierce is the medical director of Denver Animal Emergency hospital. He is particularly interested in emergency medicine, oncology, internal medicine and cardiology.

Dr. Pierce was born and raised in North Carolina, and his childhood was spent on a beef cattle farm in Harrisburg. His career in veterinary medicine began as part of the kennel staff at an animal hospital in Denver, NC, where he would eventually become a veterinary assistant. While completing his undergraduate degree in biology, he took a special interest in honeybee research and was published in the Journal of Entomology. He is married to his high school sweetheart.

Dr. Iris Sulik always knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. She spent her childhood riding horses and taking care of her family dogs, which she says contributed to her choice of career path. Her special interests include emergency medicine, soft tissue surgery and client education.

In her spare time, Dr. Sulik enjoys mountain biking, fishing, camping and being with her family, which includes her husband and their three daughters. They have three dogs and two cats: Oso (chihuahua mix), Mad Max (chihuahua), Skittles (Boston terrier & French bulldog mix), Hiker (orange tabby) and Captain Jack (one-eyed kitty).

Dr. Troy Telenko’s favorite aspect of veterinary medicine is diagnosing challenging cases and seeing a pet’s health turn around after treatment, as well as sharing a client’s joy when their pet recovers and gets to go home.

His special interests include surgery, parasitology, shelter medicine and epidemiology.
