Our internal medicine team is made up of veterinarians, vet technicians and assistants, and support staff with rigorous training and experience in specialty medicine. The team works hand in hand to provide the comprehensive, compassionate care your pet needs and deserves. Because we’re a multidisciplinary hospital, the team can consult the expertise of other specialty departments, too.
Dr. Casey Dropkin enjoys all aspects of internal medicine, but finds unusual endocrine conditions, kidney disease, liver disease and feline medicine particularly interesting to treat.
Dr. Dropkin enjoys touring cycling, backpacking, painting and mystery novels. She lives with three cats: Orlando, a domestic longhair; Julian, a domestic shorthair; and Antione, a retired national champion American shorthair as well as a chocolate Labrador named Duke.
Dr. Matthew Schmidt’s particular clinical interests include diagnostic imaging, endoscopy, endocrinology and cardiology.
Dr. Schmidt has been an active volunteer with a wildlife refuge and enjoys golf, fishing, church and family activities. His family includes his wife, four children and three dogs.
