They Were There for Callie and Me

My cat Callie came to me when she was about 10 years old. She came from another home that could no longer keep her and I had her for about three years. She was very shy, so very few of my friends and family even met her as she would hide when anyone came to my home. I was her person.

One day she suddenly became very lethargic, then couldn’t walk. We rushed to BluePearl Pet Hospital in Skokie at 2:00 am. Dr. Jonathan Durmin and the staff could not have been kinder. After assessing her condition and seeing her health continue to fail, we made the decision to euthanize her. It was the kindest thing to do for her. I held her while we let her go.

It was so sad to let Callie go, but Dr. Durmin and the staff were supportive and kind and made a very difficult situation as comfortable as it could be. I am so grateful that they were there for Callie and me. Thank you.
