Our surgery team is made up of veterinarians, vet technicians and assistants, and support staff with rigorous training and experience in specialty medicine. The team works hand in hand to provide the comprehensive, compassionate care your pet needs and deserves. Because we’re a multidisciplinary hospital, the team can consult the expertise of other specialty departments, too.
Dr. Jean Frazho is experienced in all areas of veterinary surgery, and her special interests include cruciate repair, and reconstructive and soft tissue surgeries. She has performed many tibial plateau leveling osteotomy (TPLO), brachycephalic correction, hernia repair, cancer resection and rectal surgeries.
Dr. Frazho enjoys a team-based approach to veterinary care. She often incorporates physical therapy, internal medicine, radiation oncology and medical oncology services into her care plans to provide less invasive treatment options for patients. She has completed advanced training in laparoscopy, arthroscopy and oral surgery.
Dr. Frazho appreciates the wonderful city of Orlando and nearby beaches. Her cat named Patty wakes her up for breakfast just before the alarm clock is set to ring.
Dr. Mackenzie Grace is a resident in our surgery service. Her clinical interests include both orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. She finds arthrodesis, fracture repair and thoracic surgeries gratifying.
Dr. Grace enjoys spending time outside with her two Labrador retrievers in her spare time, either hiking, kayaking, camping or traveling. She enjoys staying active by running, kickboxing, tennis and Pilates
Dr. Michaela Polly is a resident in our surgery service. She is most passionate about surgical wound management and enjoys soft tissue oncologic procedures as well as stabilization of fractures.
Dr. Polly enjoys scuba diving, hiking, kickboxing, going to sporting events (Go Bills!) and spending time with her friends and family.
Dr. Mariana Quina’s professional interests include surgical oncology and wound management. She specializes in soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Quina and her husband share their home with a dog and two cats. Outside of work, she enjoys running, photography and scuba diving.
Dr. Dillon Scott is a resident in our surgery service. He gained extensive clinical experience and developed a strong interest in anesthesia, surgery and clinical education while working as a registered veterinary technologist. His clinical interests include surgical oncology, joint replacement, orthopedics and minimally invasive surgery.
In his free time, Dr. Scott enjoys exploring and traveling outdoors. He and his wife share their home with a cat named Ronnie.
Dr. Cheryl Tano has over 20 years of experience in veterinary surgery and she primarily performs orthopedic procedures. She also serves on the board of directors of the Veterinary Orthopedic Society. Her special interests include TPLO and TTA surgeries for cranial cruciate ligament disease, arthroscopy and fracture repair.
Dr. Tano and her wife, who is also a veterinarian, have four dogs. She is passionate about running and has completed several full and half marathons, as well as Ironman and shorter distance triathlons.
Dr. Katelyn Walraven finds minimally invasive procedures including laparoscopic gastropexy, liver biopsies and cholecystectomies the most gratifying to perform. She is also interested in managing trauma causes and fracture repair.
Dr. Walraven enjoys kayaking and paddleboarding and is looking forward to getting scuba certified. At home, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their pets: Two cats, a Chihuahua and a chiweenie.
Dr. Nathan Zab is a resident in our surgery service.
In his free time, Dr. Zab enjoys hiking with his wife and two dogs, exploring local restaurants, bass fishing, cooking, golfing and going to local car shows and tattoo conventions.
