Pet anesthesiology and pain management by BluePearl.

Giving you peace of mind while helping your pet live a longer and better life.

We understand that when your pet needs surgery, it’s hard not to worry. For many pet owners, it’s the use of anesthesia that causes the most concern. Fortunately, our veterinary anesthesiology and pain management team is made up of experts in delivering anesthetics to patients in the safest possible way, and we’re here to help.

Our commitment is not just to deliver advanced medicine; it’s to enhance the well-being of your pet and be with you every step of the way.

Services we offer.

If your pet is undergoing a procedure, you’ll have an entire anesthesiology and pain management team supporting your pet so you can get back to what matters most – spending precious moments together.

Your pet will receive unparalleled medical care during their time at the hospital (and they’ll be spoiled with love and attention, too).

Advanced monitoring

To make your pet as comfortable and safe as possible, we use sophisticated monitoring tools to track your pet’s vital signs, such as:

  • Body temperature
  • Blood pressure
  • Pulse rate
  • Heart rhythm
  • Respiratory rate
  • Oxygen saturation
  • Carbon dioxide production

Treatment plans

Just as no two patients are the same, neither are their treatment plans. Our anesthesiology and pain management team has experience with creating customized anesthesia plans to support your pet on the path to wellness.

We also provide:

  • Consultations to discuss the risks of anesthesia
  • Pain management for pets before, during and after surgery
  • Chronic and acute pain management
  • Critical case management

Our board certified specialists and anesthesiology & pain management team.

Experience makes all the difference.

Our anesthesiology and pain management team is made up of veterinarians, vet technicians and assistants, and support staff with rigorous training and experience in specialty medicine. The team works hand in hand to provide the comprehensive, compassionate care your pet needs and deserves. Because we’re a multidisciplinary hospital, the team can consult the expertise of other specialty departments, too.

What to expect.

We want you to be prepared for your pet’s visit to the anesthesiologist, so you have one less thing to worry about. Our entire BluePearl team will be with you every step of the way.

Before surgery, a veterinary anesthesiologist will examine your pet and create a customized anesthesia plan based on their condition, health, diagnosis, medical history and the procedure they’re undergoing. This plan may include analgesics, epidurals, nerve blocks, IV fluids and more.

During the procedure, the anesthesiologist will carefully monitor your pet’s vital signs to ensure the best possible outcome.

Afterward, your pet’s care team will ensure that your pet is comfortable while they recover from the anesthesia. They’ll work closely with other caregivers to ensure any discomfort your pet may experience is being controlled and minimized as much as possible.
