Dr. Kendra Carlson’s professional interests include emergency medicine, toxicology, infectious disease and endocrine emergencies. She is skilled in rehabilitation for acute musculoskeletal injury, chronic pain, sports injury, post-surgery patients and neurologic conditions (traumatic or degenerative).

Dr. Madeline Edgar is particularly interested in angular limb deformity correction, fracture fixation and minimally invasive techniques.

When not at the hospital, Dr. Gingerich spends time with her husband, four daughters, beagle Norman Paul and cat Pettimew. The family pitches in on chores: collecting eggs from their chickens and helping care for their pigs.

Dr. Kali Goldapske-Malis is particularly interested in treating trauma, including lacerations and hit-by-car cases. As an emergency clinician, she is working to return pets to health so they can go home with their loved ones.

She has experience educating the police K9 community and performing veterinary exams on these canines. Also, she has spent time in Haiti training veterinary agents to perform routine medical exams and procedures on horses, cattle, pigs, dogs and cats. She has treated approximately 1,500 animals in rural Haiti over the past three years.

Dr. Ruth Peters is experience in both general practice and emergency-only service. She is also trained in acupuncture. Pain control in its various and changing forms is her passion and she also finds treating toxicities and inappropriate ingestions very gratifying.

Away from the hospital, Dr. Peters enjoys sewing, hiking and swimming in Lake Winnebago when it’s warm. She has multiple family members of the two-and four-legged variety who fill her life with unending adventures!

Dr. Piazza provides care as part of a collaborative compassionate team, and he is an active member of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS). His clinical interests include minimally invasive surgery (laparoscopy, arthroscopy, mini-surgical approaches, etc.), complex fracture and deformity corrections, and total joint replacement.

Dr. Sarah Springborn has several years of experience as an emergency clinician and is dedicated to helping her patients and their families. Her clinical interests include treating seizures and neurologic diseases.

Dr. Samantha Vande Hey fell in love with emergency medicine during her internship and works hard to provide excellent care guided with compassion in moments of distress for pet families. Her clinical interests include working with patients in the ICU who need detailed therapy that can change hour by hour.

Dr. Dale Weihing’s clinical interests include immune mediated disease, endocrine disease, and polytrauma cases. He particularly enjoys collaboration and the team approach to patient care.
