Dr. Stephanie Brock’s clinical interests include polytrauma, analgesia and geriatric care. She enjoys the variety of cases she sees in the emergency department, a passion that began during a mentorship program where she developed a strong foundation in emergency medicine, clinical decision-making and collaborate practice. She has continued to grow as a confident, skilled and reliable leader within the emergency team.

Originally from New York, Dr. Brock met her husband while attending veterinary school. They later relocated to Northeast Wisconsin, where they established their family and professional careers. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Brock enjoys reading, hobby farming, cooking and photography. She cherishes spending time with her husband and their three daughters.

Dr. Kali Goldapske-Malis is particularly interested in treating trauma, including lacerations and hit-by-car cases. As an emergency clinician, she is working to return pets to health so they can go home with their loved ones.

She has experience educating the police K9 community and performing veterinary exams on these canines. Also, she has spent time in Haiti training veterinary agents to perform routine medical exams and procedures on horses, cattle, pigs, dogs and cats. She has treated approximately 1,500 animals in rural Haiti over the past three years.

Dr. Goldapske-Malis and her husband enjoy hiking, camping and spending time with family. They have two rescue dogs and a three-legged cat.

Dr. Ruth Peters brings extensive experience in both general practice and emergency services as well as acupuncture. Her passion is pain control in its various and changing forms, and she finds treating toxicities and inappropriate ingestions very gratifying.

Away from the hospital, Dr. Peters enjoys sewing, hiking and swimming in Lake Winnebago when it’s warm. She has multiple family members of the two-and four-legged variety who fill her life with unending adventures!

Dr. Samantha Price is committed to helping each and every patient on an individual basis. Her clinical interests include treatment and management of wounds and toxicology.

Dr. Sarah Springborn has several years of experience as an emergency clinician and is dedicated to helping her patients and their families. Her clinical interests include treating seizures and neurologic diseases.

Dr. Lara Stephens-Brown enjoys managing various emergency cases, but she is particularly interested in lameness and end-of-life care.

Dr. Chris Stretton’s clinical interests include emergency medicine, comprehensive case work-ups and soft tissue surgery. He is recognized for his problem-solving skills, his ability to foster strong teams and build lasting client relationships, and his empathetic approach to every case.

At home in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Dr. Stretton enjoys life with his wife and two dogs – Levi, a spirited border collie, and Frank, a rescued Golden Retriever with a heart of gold. Outside of the hospital, he can often be found outdoors fishing the region’s lakes and rivers, hiking wooded trails, kayaking along the shoreline or mountain biking the many trails the UP has to offer.

Dr. Samantha VandeHey fell in love with emergency medicine during her internship and works hard to provide excellent care guided with compassion in moments of distress for pet families. Her clinical interests include working with patients in the ICU who need detailed therapy that can change hour by hour.

When not working, Dr. VandeHey enjoys being outside and thrives in summer months with gardening, growing giant pumpkins, horseback riding, cycling, boating, kayaking, barbecues, hiking with her dogs, live music and reading a good book on a hammock.

Dr. Dale Weihing’s clinical interests include immune-mediated disease, endocrine disease, and polytrauma cases. He particularly enjoys collaboration and the team approach to patient care.
