Acting quickly in an emergency may save your pet’s life.
If your pet is experiencing an emergency, you’ll have an entire veterinary team helping them so you can get back to what matters most – spending precious moments together.
Experience makes all the difference.
Our emergency team is made up of veterinarians, vet technicians and assistants, and support staff with rigorous training and experience in specialty medicine. The team works hand in hand to provide the comprehensive, compassionate care your pet needs and deserves. Because we’re a multidisciplinary hospital, the team can consult the expertise of other specialty departments, too.
Dr. Jenna Dinstell is passionate about client education and taking a collaborative approach to provide excellent care.
In her free time, Dr. Dinstell enjoys snorkeling, standup paddleboarding, snowboarding, skiing, hiking, traveling, rowing, drawing, painting, and exploring new eateries and breweries.
During her master’s program, Dr. Leanne Diss studied how migratory birds spread ectoparasites and disease in new environments. Later, while in veterinary school, she discovered her passion for emergency medicine. She went on to expand her skills during her internship, working with exotic and small animals while also contributing to animal care at the Tucson Zoo.
Originally from Reno, she is excited to return to her hometown and looks forward to providing compassionate, high-quality care to pets and families in the community.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Diss enjoys knitting, running, skiing and cycling. She has combined her love of cycling with her passion for traveling by riding across 15 countries. At home, she spends time with her husband, their daughter, two border collies and a shy tabby cat.
Dr. Rinehimer and her husband have two dogs, Yuba and Tumalo. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, hiking, paragliding, skiing, kayaking and mountain biking.
In addition to emergency medicine, Dr. Mathew Russum’s main areas of interest include internal medicine, cardiology, and general surgery.
