Our emergency team is made up of veterinarians, vet technicians and assistants, and support staff with rigorous training and experience in specialty medicine. The team works hand in hand to provide the comprehensive, compassionate care your pet needs and deserves. Because we’re a multidisciplinary hospital, the team can consult the expertise of other specialty departments, too.
Dr. Sarah Camp particularly enjoys stabilizing and caring for patients in critical condition.
Dr. Camp grew up in Atlanta and loves spending time in the city with her husband and dog. She also likes traveling to new places.
Dr. Lena Cordell is passionate about all aspects of emergency medicine, particularly toxicities and trauma.
Dr. Cordell enjoys playing music, hiking, watching sports and spending time with her cat, Donatella.
Dr. Kristen Maxwell enjoys all aspects of emergency medicine and finds stabilizing emergent cases like heatstroke, gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV), hemoabdomen, sepsis and traumatic brain injury especially gratifying.
Dr. Maxwell has four pets: a dog (Gracie), a cat (Catniss), a blue-tongue skink (Sheldon), and a crested gecko (Curtis). She enjoys hiking, mountain biking, playing hockey and trying new foods and restaurants.
Dr. Kelsey Smith is part of our emergency medicine training program for clinicians. She is passionate about emergency medicine and especially interested in performing C-sections, as well as stabilizing trauma patients.
Dr. Smith loves spending time with her Catahoula mix, Leo. Her hobbies include traveling, DIY projects, baking, gardening and outdoor activities.
Dr. Bailey Wright is part of our emergency medicine training program for clinicians. She finds stabilizing critical patients and wound repair the most gratifying.
Dr. Wright enjoys traveling, discovering the best coffee shops, reading, exploring the outdoors and staying active. She and her husband are huge sports fans and enjoy cheering for their favorite teams.
