What happens when I check-in? Once you check-in online or via text, we will call or text with wait times and next steps to gather more information about your pet. View more details about what happens next.

Why should I check-in now? Checking-in helps ensure that the most critical patients are prioritized and that all others can wait in the comfort of their homes or cars. We will text or call you with updates and to let you know when you should proceed to the hospital.

To check-in for an EMERGENCY:

Text BPNEPDX to 5032414564 – ORCHECK-IN ONLINE

NOTE: if you have a SPECIALTY appointment, DO NOT check-in now. Proceed to the hospital’s front desk, or call us for curbside service when you arrive.

Frequently Asked Questions

We try to take patients in the order they check-in. Upon arrival, we triage each pet similarly to a human ER to assess their condition. Patients who arrive with life-threatening or serious injuries or illnesses will require immediate attention which can create longer wait times for more stable pets.

We understand it can be confusing when your pet is sick or injured, so we always encourage you to call us if you’re not sure. You may also review common signs of an emergency that may require immediate care.
