Our cardiology team is made up of veterinarians, vet technicians and assistants, and support staff with rigorous training and experience in specialty medicine. The team works hand in hand to provide the comprehensive, compassionate care your pet needs and deserves. Because we’re a multidisciplinary hospital, the team can consult the expertise of other specialty departments, too.
Dr. Will Pochal is an intern in our cardiology service. After completing his internship, he aims to become a board-certified cardiologist.
Dr. Pochal enjoys playing hockey, soccer, golf, woodworking and spending time with his cat, Frog.
Dr. Justin Thomason enjoys teaching veterinary students, interns, and residents, and delivering excellent care to pets through clinical service consultations with referring veterinarians. He is passionate about advancing the field of veterinary cardiology through clinical research, particularly on the topics of cardiovascular diseases, cardiorenal syndrome, and general internal medicine.
Dr. Thomason enjoys spending free time with his wonderful wife and son. He also enjoys jogging and studying, as well as watching college football and the occasional episode of Duck Dynasty.
