Our emergency team is made up of veterinarians, vet technicians and assistants, and support staff with rigorous training and experience in specialty medicine. The team works hand in hand to provide the comprehensive, compassionate care your pet needs and deserves. Because we’re a multidisciplinary hospital, the team can consult the expertise of other specialty departments, too.
Dr. Andrew Allison’s particular interests include emergency surgery and initial treatment/stabilization of internal medicine cases, particularly immune-mediated disease and diabetic ketoacidosis.
Dr. Allison enjoys playing soccer, mountain biking, skiing, standup paddle boarding, kayaking, and travel. He also likes taking his two pit bull mixes, Leo and Lilah, and Doberman Trice, camping, hiking, and running.
Dr. Shannon Clancey’s special interests include emergency surgery, neurologic emergencies and critical care medicine.
Dr. Clancey enjoys spending time with her partner, hiking, exploring new areas and playing fetch with her cat, Basil.
Dr. Jennifer Jovinelly’s clinical interests include emergency resuscitation, shock and trauma. She also has an academic interest in pain management and clinical pathology.
In her free time, Dr. Jovinelly enjoys hiking, swimming, ceramics, reading and DIY projects. She loves going for walks with her three cats, Emma, Dr. Owen Bartholomew Dalton and Odin.
Dr. Samantha Lawton is passionate about connecting with clients during stressful situations and helping them care for their pets. She is especially interested in treating toxicity and trauma cases.
Dr. Lawton enjoys hiking, camping, mountain biking and occasionally river rafting with her partner and two dogs: Rowan and Ginny. She also enjoys eating and drinking around the world.
Dr. Casie Lee is particularly interested in surgery, emergency and critical care medicine, shelter and disaster medicine and exotic and small ruminant animal care.
Dr. Courtney McGinness is passionate about connecting with clients in stressful situations and providing the best care for their loved ones. She is particularly interested in the workup and treatment of endocrine emergencies and toxicities.
Dr. McGinness enjoys hiking, camping, biking and spending time with her partner and her sassy husky dog.
Dr. Gabriel Ng loves all aspects of emergency medicine especially surgeries.
Dr. Ng and her husband love climbing, hiking, yoga, eating and traveling. They have four furry family members: Korra, Kala, Macklemore and Tuna.
Dr. Kierstyn Payne’s professional interests include emergency surgery, sepsis and endocrine emergencies.
Dr. Payne enjoys spending her free time traveling, reading and cooking/baking. Originally from Wisconsin, she enjoys watching football and cheering on the Green Bay Packers. Dr. Payne has two pets – a sassy, long-haired calico cat and a German shorthaired pointer.
Dr. Hannah Poole particularly enjoys treating sepsis, trauma and coagulation disorders.
Dr. Poole travels at every opportunity. She also likes hiking and exploring Seattle with her retired racing greyhound Braleigh.
