Critical Care
Critical care patients come to our hospital due to trauma, the development of an acute life-threatening illness or immediately following major surgery. Our critical care service carefully evaluates each patient and creates a custom monitoring plan by measuring variables such as pulse, heart rate, blood pressure and more.
We are prepared to treat many different types of trauma, including:
- Sepsis
- Respiratory distress
- Blood transfusions

Mechanical Ventilation
For pets with a life-threatening breathing crisis, mechanical ventilation can serve as a life-saving treatment option. Our critical care team is proud to offer this service to pets in need.
Mechanical ventilation provides respiratory support to animals who are unable to maintain ventilation or oxygenation on their own. It is used to manage a wide variety of conditions, including:
- Respiratory muscle weakness and paralysis
- Drug intoxication
- Certain neurological conditions
- Lung diseases such as pneumonia or acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS)
- Congestive heart failure
- Pulmonary edema
While mechanical ventilation does not cure disease, it provides critical lung function support allowing time to treat the underlying illness. It requires intensive care and continuous monitoring.

In-Home Hospice Services
The goal of pet hospice is to help senior or terminally ill pets live the fullest life possible for the time that remains. If your pet has been diagnosed with a painful or life-limiting condition, they may be referred to a hospice veterinarian for:
- In-home senior care
- Pain and symptom management
- Hospice and palliative care
- Quality of life consultations
- End-of-life services
Our compassionate, in-home services are provided by BluePearl Pet Hospice. Please call or text 800.717.5054 to talk to our care team, or schedule an appointment online.

Internal Medicine
Veterinary internists are trained to take care of patients who can’t tell them what’s wrong. By using the pet’s history, clinical signs, lab results, imaging studies and other testing, our internal medicine specialists can diagnose severe, chronic illnesses or symptoms that appear suddenly.

Oncology
Our compassionate oncology team offers a variety of treatment options for pets with cancer. From initial diagnosis to ongoing care, we are focused on promoting your pet’s quality of life.
We take an integrative approach to treating cancer that includes:
- Taking time to listen to and answer all questions and concerns about cancer treatment
- Creating a treatment plan tailored to each patient and client’s individual needs
- Working within client’s schedules for therapy delivery
- Maintaining regular updates with referring family veterinarians
By helping every pet owner understand their pet’s disease and by providing appropriate educational tools, we all work together to improve and extend each pet’s quality of life.

Surgery
When your pet needs surgery, our veterinary surgery team is ready to provide the best possible care. Our hospital is equipped with advanced tools, technology and monitoring capabilities to provide sophisticated medical care and compassionate service during your pet’s time of need.
Surgery may be the best option for pets with:
- Cancer
- Chronic diseases like ear or respiratory tract infections
- Congenital conditions like dysplasia or heart defects
- Hernias
- Trauma or injuries, including fractures, ligament and tendon injuries

Compassionate Treatment
Our team respects the close bond between pets and their owners and treats each with dignity, compassion and kindness.
