Our emergency team is made up of veterinarians, vet technicians and assistants, and support staff with rigorous training and experience in specialty medicine. The team works hand in hand to provide the comprehensive, compassionate care your pet needs and deserves. Because we’re a multidisciplinary hospital, the team can consult the expertise of other specialty departments, too.
Dr. Victoria Orlando is part of our emergency medicine training program for clinicians. She finds trauma cases, diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) and blocked cats the most gratifying to treat.
Dr. Orlando enjoys running, fencing, reading and taking her dogs on hikes. She has a menagerie of reptiles, saltwater fish, dogs and cats.
Dr. Christopher Smith has been working in the veterinary field for four decades. He has experience as a medical director for both general practice and emergency hospitals.
He finds Addison’s disease, shock and acute crisis type conditions particularly gratifying. Dr. Smith strives to communicate complex conditions in simple terms so clients can best understand their pets’ conditions.
Dr. Smith is a proud father of three children. In his spare time, he loves fishing, singing and playing guitar.
Dr. Kristen Woltman chose the veterinary profession at the age of 8 due to her love of animals and desire to help. She believes that pets are an extension of one’s family and values the opportunity to develop a relationship with both owners and pets.
In her spare time, Dr. Woltman enjoys hiking, yoga, and horseback riding.
