Samantha Aumann, DVM
On The Job
Always interested in animals, it wasn’t until she worked in high school at a feline veterinary clinic that Dr. Samantha Aumann considered becoming a veterinarian. As she worked her way up from kennel help to a manager position and veterinary assistant, the clinic owner encouraged her pursuit of a veterinary degree.
After completing an internship with BluePearl, Dr. Aumann decided to stay in BluePearl’s teaching program as a critical care resident. Similar to a physician’s track toward board certification, a veterinary residency lasts several years and will provide her with a deeper understanding of emergency and critical care medicine. Dr. Aumann has a particular interest in feline medicine and surgery.
Internship, Small Animal Medicine & Surgery, BluePearl Veterinary Partners, Tampa FL

In her free time, Dr. Aumann backpacks, hikes, kayaks and watches movies with her husband. They have three cats: Zelda, a calico; Gypsy, a Maine coon mix; and Cricket who is an amputee.
