Our Tampa hospital is home to a thriving veterinary blood bank – now also accepting donations in Clearwater and Brandon.
We are encouraging those who would like their cats and dogs to help save the lives of other pets to sign up to become donors. Donations will assist animals suffering from trauma, toxin ingestion, auto-immune diseases and heat stroke, as well as those who are preparing for or recovering from surgery. Veterinarians are welcome to contact us to inquire about the availability of blood products for their patients.
There are medical benefits for donor dogs and cats as well. At no cost to their owner, pets will receive:
Exam by one of our clinicians
Complete blood work
Infectious disease testing
Plenty of hugs and kisses
Monetary credit added to your account with every donation to use for future veterinary visits
In addition, your donor pet or another pet in your household can receive one free blood product after six successful donations.
