When your pet needs emergency care, seconds count. Our team is ready to provide expert care 24/7 in case of a pet emergency. If your pet requires a veterinary specialist, we are ready for that too. Our experienced team of veterinarians, vet technicians and support staff work closely together to provide the comprehensive, compassionate care your pet needs and deserves.

Our veterinary specialists work directly with your primary care vet to understand your pet’s condition and develop the appropriate treatment plan. Visits to our specialists are usually by referral from your primary care vet and by appointment.

Where should I take my pet – urgent care or the ER?

Emergency: We are an ER hospital, where services are intended for pets in life-critical condition who require immediate attention.

After-hours urgent care: We partner closely with our nearest urgent care hospital, BluePearl Pet Hospital in Carrollwood, which is located about three miles down the road at
13221 N Dale Mabry Hwy. Urgent care is intended for times when:

  • Your pet’s condition is NOT critical or life-threatening
  • Your pet needs help outside of your family vet’s regular business hours

About BluePearl Pet Hospital Tampa.

Our 16,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art Tampa pet hospital has the equipment and staff to give your pets the advanced emergency and specialty medical care they deserve.

We offer an intensive care unit, a CT scanner, MRI, a linear accelerator, x-rays, ultrasound, fluoroscopy and endoscopy.

We also offer radioactive iodine treatment for cats with hyperthyroidism. We are fully equipped to serve as your 24-hour emergency veterinarian – and we even have a blood bank on site.

“Juneau was brought to BluePearl with suspected tetanus. When admitted, she was given a diagnosis of stage 2 (later advancing to stage 4) with a 50% survival rate. Juneau was some of the staffs’ first case of tetanus since it is so rare in the United States.

She was in the hospital for a little under two weeks. There were a lot of tears, hard decisions, hospital visits, and little glimpses of hope around every corner. The vets and support staff adapted to the situation, did the necessary research and came up with a plan to give Juneau the best care possible.
